LED Indicators

Your stromleser.one has an LED that shows you the current device status. Here you'll learn what the different LED signals mean.

LED Overview​

The LED is located on the device and shows the current state through color and blinking pattern.

LED Status Indicators​

πŸ”΅ Fast Blinking Blue​

What does it mean?

  • Device is in setup mode
  • Wi-Fi connection is being prepared
  • Bluetooth pairing is active

When do you see it?

  • Directly after switching on
  • During initial setup
  • After a factory reset

What should you do?

  • Open app and follow setup instructions
  • Enable Bluetooth on smartphone
  • Stay near the device (max. 5 meters)

🟒 Slow Blinking Green​

What does it mean?

  • βœ… Everything is working perfectly!
  • Device is connected to Wi-Fi
  • Data is being read successfully
  • Connection to cloud is established

When do you see it?

  • During normal operation
  • When device is correctly set up

What should you do?

  • Nothing! This is the normal operating state
  • You can now view data in the app

πŸ”΄ Blinking Red​

What does it mean?

  • ⚠️ An error has occurred
  • Possible causes:
    • Wi-Fi connection failed
    • Meter cannot be read
    • Configuration error
    • Cloud connection interrupted

When do you see it?

  • After failed Wi-Fi setup
  • When Wi-Fi password was incorrect
  • During connection problems
  • When meter cannot be read

What should you do?

  1. Perform Factory Reset

  2. Check Wi-Fi

    • Is Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz?
    • Is password correct?
    • Is signal strong enough?
  3. Check Position

    • Is reading head correctly positioned on meter?
    • Is logo facing forward?

⚫ LED is Off​

What does it mean?

  • Device has no power
  • USB-C cable is not connected
  • Power supply is interrupted

What should you do?

  1. Check Power Supply

    • Is USB-C cable properly plugged in?
    • Is outlet working?
    • Is plug properly in outlet?
  2. Check Cable

    • Is cable damaged?
    • Try another USB-C cable (if available)
  3. Check Power Adapter

    • Is power adapter working?
    • Test it with another device

πŸ”΅ Solid Blue (Without Blinking)​

What does it mean?

  • Firmware update is running
  • Device is restarting
  • Initialization

What should you do?

  • Wait! Don't disconnect from power
  • Process takes 1-2 minutes
  • Device will restart automatically afterward
Important

NEVER disconnect device from power during firmware update! This can damage the device.

Troubleshooting by LED Status​

  1. Perform factory reset
  2. Repeat Wi-Fi setup
  3. Check router settings (2.4 GHz active?)
  1. Enable Bluetooth on smartphone
  2. Get closer to device (max. 5 meters)
  3. Restart app
  4. Restart device (disconnect power, wait 10 sec., reconnect)

LED lights green but no data in app​

  1. Refresh app (pull down)
  2. Check internet connection
  3. Check position of reading head on meter
  4. Check meter compatibility
