What is the energieleser.bridge?

The energieleser.bridge is the radio hub for your meters. Many modern water, gas, electricity and heat meters send their readings at regular intervals by radio signal (wM-Bus, OMS standard). The Bridge receives these radio signals and forwards the readings over your WiFi – to the Energieleser app or to Home Assistant.

The Bridge only reads the meters you register with it. Radio signals from other meters in the neighbourhood are ignored.

Main features

  • Radio reception for many meters – radio-based electricity, gas, water and heat meters and wireless smoke detectors via wM-Bus (OMS), plus the energieleser.node
  • Encrypted meters – with the AES key, the Bridge also reads meters that encrypt their radio signals
  • Readings where you need them – in the Energieleser app or in Home Assistant
  • Setup via smartphone – you enter your WiFi credentials on your smartphone, no cable or computer needed
  • Updates over the internet – you trigger updates yourself, and the Bridge then downloads them over the internet
