Firmware Updates

From time to time, we may release an improved version of your Node's internal software ("firmware") — for example, to improve battery life or add support for a new meter type.

Go to the Update Portal

You can find the latest updates here: nodeupdateportal.energieleser.de

There you update your Node directly in the browser via the USB cable.

How to update​

  1. Press and hold the button on the Node.
  2. Plug in the USB-C cable and connect the Node to your computer — the button must be held down while you plug it in. Then keep holding it for 5 seconds. The four LEDs will start chasing in order (1 → 2 → 3 → 4, repeating), confirming the Node is in update mode.
  3. Open the Update Portal, choose the version and follow the instructions there to transfer the new firmware to the Node.
  4. Once the transfer finishes, the Node restarts automatically into the new firmware.
Your settings are safe

Your port assignments are kept safely through a firmware update — you won't need to repeat the port assignment afterwards.

What you need for the update

A computer with Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (smartphones, tablets, Safari and Firefox are not supported) and a USB-C cable that transfers data – charge-only cables do not work.
